Oil and gas is killing us!

Extreme heat has become the new normal in our generation.

Last year was the hottest year ever recorded for our precious planet earth.

What is it going to be like for our children and grandchildren?

Well that’s partly up to the political choices that me and you make. On the one hand, we've got Labour, Reform and Tory parties that take millions of pounds off big business, oil and gas.

On the other hand, the Green Party who just take donations off ordinary people like you and me.

So, only the Greens will switch public subsidies from oil and gas into practical solutions.

Solutions that create loads of good green jobs. Like:

· Investing in solar and wind power, that bring our energy bills down.

· Like investing in home insulation, that keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

· And good public public transport, that also brings down air pollution.

We'll also invest in adjustments for this extreme heat:

• Maximum temperature cap for all workplaces, in partnership with the Trade Union Congress.

• Much better flood defences in places like this, to protect us from rising sea levels.

• And planting more trees, to protect us from flooding and over-heating.

And above all – no new oil and gas. Oil and gas is killing us! Leave it in the ground.
